Creativity From the Start
If I think back far enough, I can still see myself with a disposable camera in hand, carefully posing my pets and stuffed animals for little “photoshoots.” At the time, I didn’t realize it was a calling—but looking back, photography was always part of me.
That love carried into high school when I served as reporter for my FFA chapter and moved on to President and Region IV VP. My role as reporter was to design newsletters, create flyers, and capture photos of our events. It meant sitting front row at State Convention, camera in hand, and realizing how much I loved both the design and storytelling sides of the job. Those skills still shape my business today, from the way I brand LikeWise to how I design albums and wall art for clients.
Shaped by Family and Weddings
Family has also been a big part of my journey. I became an aunt at just 10 years old, which gave me confidence with babies and a lifelong love for children. Now, during newborn sessions, I often find myself smiling (and sometimes tearing up) as I rock little ones to sleep. Photographing babies of people I grew up with is especially powerful—it’s like watching life come full circle.
I also grew up surrounded by weddings. My mom and Grammy were seamstresses, so gowns were constantly in and out of the house. Later, being in multiple weddings myself taught me just how much planning goes into a big day—and how important it is to balance details with flexibility.
When I photograph weddings, I approach them as a bestie, not just a photographer. I’ll do anything to take stress away—whether that means making a bouquet the morning of, curling a bridesmaid’s hair, or even chasing off a mouse during an elopement weekend. To me, it’s never just about photos. It’s about showing up fully, so couples feel supported and celebrated.
Why Weddings Feel Personal
From Garage Beginnings to a Luxury Experience
When I started photographing clients in my garage, it wasn’t perfect. The space was cold in winter and never quite aesthetic enough. But it’s where I fell in love with maternity, newborn, and boudoir photography. Those sessions showed me that clients weren’t just looking for pictures—they wanted to feel taken care of.
That’s when I knew I wanted to elevate my brand. To me, “luxury” doesn’t mean fancy—it means being pampered and cared for from start to finish. From snacks and comfort during sessions, to helping with styling, posing, and movement so people feel natural, I create an experience where clients can relax and truly enjoy the process.
